WiFi won't switch on NMP 2013 after 10.10 update

Hi, Is anyone else experiencing problems switching their WiFi on after updating to the latest 10.10? The WiFi button does nothing on my 2013 Mac Pro - Thanks

yup. either restart or revert back to 10.9.5. I reverted back just so you know.

Yep, I had the same problem. I did several things all at once and one of them fixed the issue; unfortunately I don't know which was the magic bullet:

-deleted the network-related configuration and preference files
-unloaded/reloaded the "discoveryd" service
-removed all of my preferred Wi-Fi networks and added back only the one I currently use
-removed/re-added the Wi-Fi service in the Network preference pane
-reset PRAM and SMC
