When I first upgraded with the first version of Yosemite I immediately acquired the dropped wifi issue. If I have bluetooth turned on, wifi will work for a short time then signal is lost. I have installed each upgrade and still have the problem. I recently used Time Machine and backed up my MacBook pro, reformatted the HD,installed Yosemite from scratch, then installed my backup from Time Machine.I still have the wifi issue. Did the Time Machine backup reinstall settings that are causing the problem? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated...Thanks!

If you want to determine if the issue is really with Yosemite and not with your install, create a new partition, install Yosemite to the new partition, boot to the new partition and don't install anything other then the basic system. Once you have created a user, login and setup your WiFi and Bluetooth. Does the WiFi issue still happen?

Once you are done, boot back to your primary partition and delete the new partition.

Continuity, introduced with Yosemite, puts more traffic on Bluetooth, that is known to interfere with WiFi more - try disabling BT, if that resolves it try living without Continuity...

Follow the steps in the blog post Fix Will-Fi Problems in OS X Yomsemite. This should help, Good Luck.
