I just purchased a refurb Iphone and I am having problems connecting to my wireless network at home. When I click on Safari a window pops up "wifi 2x984 enter password" I thought is was my password for the internet service but that is not working. I check the settings for that connection on my phone and the DHCP info is blank. There are no settings for this wifi connection. My husband was out last night at a bar that had open wifi and it connected with no problem. Could someone please step me through the process of setting up the home wireless network. I do not use any other wireless products so I am new at this. Thank you

Chances are it is asking for your WEP / WPA key that is part of the security of your router. It prevents people from doing what you are trying to do. If other wireless devices connect in your house (laptops, other devices, etc.) then you know everything is OK and it is just a matter of getting your iPhone online with the proper key.

If you don't know it, either ask your husband what it is OR access the web based router setup and check to see what it is. Without the "key" you won't be able to get very far.
