Ive recently noticed that it's possible to control games on osx with a Wii Remote via bluetooth. Out of curiosity could this be done on the iphone as well??

I mean, the major drawback of gaming on the iphone (namely the NES, SNES, and PSX emulators) is the (lack of) control. If a Wii Remote, or perhaps an Xbox 360 wireless controller could connect to the iPhone via bluetooth.... problem solved!

I dont have a programming skill to do this myself. But if anyone here who might could enlighten me, it would be appreciated.

As far as the technology goes, I don't think that the xbox360 controllers will work because they don't use Bluetooth... I believe they us RF(?). Also, I think it's fairly common knowledge that the Bluetooth stack in the iPhone is pretty weaksauce (not even A2DP!). However it remains to be seen whether that issue can be addressed by a software upgrade/hack.

But, I do know for sure that the PS3 controllers use blutooth, and if this could be done, that would be amazing!

My heart is saying "yes please", but my brain is telling me "no way in hell"
