Hummingbirds are tough to capture unless there are so many competing--then they will sit on your finger at the feeder.

A black bear visitor to the deck.

We call this guy "Scruffy" due to his coat--must have been shedding.

A Tiger?!?!

Probably from the same genus as the purported 'Creature' --- doesn't sit still long enough to confirm!

A different one.

Sorry about the image quality...it came off my camcorder.

This one was coming right at us at a golf course!

A native rock lizard at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Arizona.

This little guy is hanging on the edge of an 800 foot vertical cliff

Neat photo. He's colored so much like the rock--is it a color changing lizard? It's good to see a second reptile in this thread.

Lard
Feed me!

This baby Stingray is not wild, but it's hungry and was attempting to crawl up the wall.

underwater wild things

That's great the thread is taking us underwater--that never occurred to me as I'm not a diver and most of the beasts I get to see are in mountainous forests.

Rays seem to be quite docile and get used to human presence. Anyone got Moray eel pictures to add?

hold your nose

Three to five of these come around at night and seldom alert (hold their tail up) and have never sprayed as long as you talk to them when approaching.
They welcome a peanut or two and then go off foraging on their own.

I believe that is his natural color. The area is covered in that similarly colored sandstone, so it is great camouflage against his predators.

night bear demonstrating weak internal flash in N 990

This looks like the same bear that stood at the urinal. They are everywhere--have to wait in line.

Wild Turkey

Usually 10 to 20 of these visit daily. They get all over the house and deck rails and roost nearby at night.
