When Sierra comes in the fall along with a new Mac Mini (it's certainly coming), will the 2011s come down in price?

The 2009 prices tanked (but I think that's due to the no support for the future macOS).

Not sure if I should buy one now or wait.

If i were you, I would wait until October to see if there will be any new updates for Mac mini. But if you need it now, buy it now if you can find it for a solid price.

I would not be buying a new one, as that's outside of the budget. Looking for a custom built with SSD and mechanical HD.

I think what was the current device is the only one that will see any change at all, and I don't think that will be major either.

At 5 years old, the only major difference in price will be if it is removed from the list of current OS compatible devices.
