If the first 2016 MacBooks came with El Capitan, it's possible to go back without an issue. Internet recovery will probably install Sierra, however, so it'd be necessary to have a USB installer to backdate.Think you cannot install El Capitan if you was not on your system in the first place...
Hah... you can't possibly expect Apple to refresh a computer more than once a year!...assuming there have been no changes to hardware since March 2016.
