Will 4gigs fry my processor

I have the 17in 2.33 mbp I was wondering if 4gbs in it will mess up my processor or will it be ok. I know that it can only read 3 but I want dual channel. or does that not matter with graphic design and photos in raw

Dual channel won't make a noticeable difference at all. And there would be no processor impact anyway

OWC sells 2+1, but I was wondering if i bought a 2gb than the 1gb later would it be a matched pair. And would it make an difference.

does 2 = 1? then no, its not a matched pair. Having 3 GB will disable dual channel, but it will be slightly, and i mean slightly faster than having 2 gb.

How much RAM you have has no direct frying capability on the processor.

You can click on the Transcend modules there, and read lots and lots of reviews. You'll almost always see reviews from people mentioning their MB/Ps too.
