I'm looking into possibly getting an 8GB Touch for use primarily as a PDA and internet device. (I have a 160GB Classic that I use for my music). I figure now is a bad time to buy an iPod Touch, because we expect the next gen to be announced by Sept. Do you think the 8GB will get booted from the lineup altogether? Or possibly bumped even lower in price? If it is booted, is it possibly (based on past histories of Touch updates) that the 32GB could be bumped to the $199 price point?
The other thing I thought possible (but not sure how likely this is) is that the 8GB is booted, and it's replaced with a new 16GB model at the $199 price point.
