Does anyone know if the MacBook Pro 14" (2021) will fit inside the Incase City Brief 13" Shoulder Bag? I know it's designed for the MBP 13" but since the new 14" MBP have similar dimensions, I'm curious to know if anyone has this combo and could confirm?

MacBook Pro 13" (Early 2013) Dimensions = Width 12.35in / Depth 8.62in / Height 0.75in
MacBook Pro 14" (Late 2021) Dimensions = Width 12.31in / Depth 8.71in / Height 0.61in

Dimensions of the Incase City Collection Shoulder Bag 13" says = 10.87"H x 14.5"W x 2.25"D

MacBook Pro 13" Dimensions = Width 11.97in / Depth 8.36in / Height 0.59in
MacBook Pro 14" Dimensions = Width 12.31in / Depth 8.71in / Height 0.61in

Dimensions of the Incase City Brief 13" says = Dimensions (Overall): 2.75 inches (H) x 11.15 inches (W) x 14.85 inches (D)

I'd say no. The width is the giveaway there. if the case has 11.15in width, and the 14" MBP is 12.31in width, the bag would be too small width wise for the MBP. It would fit height wise, but not width wise.

Again, that is just going off of the numbers you've posted here.

Sorry I had the wrong dimensions for the bag. I updated it.

Let's get these into common nomenclature, as the sites definitions are going to be confusing. Width is front to back, length is left to right, height is up to down. With that, Looking at Incase's site:

The dimensions for the bag appear to be 11" width (front to back), 2.5" height (up to down), 14.5" length (left to right). Comparing that to the 14" MBP, which from your specs is 8.71" width (front to back), 0.61" height (up to down), and 12.31" length (left to right).

Red = bad, and green = good (unless it is green and moving; in that case, step on it 😈).

Seriously, with those dimensions, it should work, but it will be tight. unless it is completely flat, I wouldn't suggest putting any accessories (read: cords, etc.) in along with the mac, but use an outside pouch if possible.

10.87" is the height (top to bottom) of the bag, and 2.75" is the depth and 14.5" is the width (left to right)

If the dimensions you posted in #1 above are correct, the 2021 MBP 14" is actually smaller than the 2013 MBP, by two dimensions of measurement. And the difference in width is negligible.

My guess (and it's only "a guess") is that it will fit just fine.

I wouldn't push it. Get the bag that can hold it properly.

This. This is why I waited for the new BookBook for M1 MBPs from TwelveSouth instead of buying last year's model which was for the 16" Intel MBP. I didn't want to take the chance and have to send back something that wasn't going to work.
