i have a 2010 with 3.46Ghz E5690 6core, 1x super drive, 1x ssd, 4x 3.5" drivers, sonnet usb 3 pro card (5xseperate lanes) and 1x AMD R9380 which uses two power cables.

Was going to use the ancient gt120 just for boot screen and perhaps a tiny bit more oompf in adobe cs6 but doubt there would be much improvement.

As I understand it, this card is pcie powered? Will I have enough power (uk 240v)

Yes, it will work, It's PCIe powered only.
I don't think that you 're going to see any speed improvement, but for connecting an extra monitor or for boot screens it's ok.

How many watts is this AMD R9 card?

I think it has a 190w

Should be very safe in macOS. Windows is a bit hard to tell (if you use it).

Power is not a problem at all. The PSU is rated 980W regardless which country or 110/220V. R9 380 is not considered demanding even in the cMP (only 2x mini 6pin avail).

In absolute worst case, your CPU draw 130W, GPU 225W (assume it can draw more then the rated 190W but not over the cMP's limit). USB card 75W (12W charging via all 5 ports), GT120 75W. HDD 55W each, optical drive 55W, SSD 55W (unrealistic high loading for most consumers' hard drive / optical drive), logic board 100W.

That's still just 935W "only", sure no way can overload your 5,1.

In reality, the CPU most likely draw ~100W, GPU well below 190W, GT120 I have no idea, but assume 75W, HDD 10W each, optical drive 10W, SSD >10W, USB 3 card I still count it 75W, logic board still 100W. That's Just reach 600W. So, absolutely nothing to worry about.
