Will a Macbook Air be good for me

I have had a 17 inch Macbook Pro since 2007. I am thinking about getting MBA to run Lightroom and NIK software. Do you think I would be ok using both of those programs on a MBA. I would really like to have something easier to carry around at photo shoots. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for NIK software, but LR/PS runs perfectly on my 13" ultimate.

I own a new MBA, but the words "photo shoot" in your post are red flags that you may want to do some serious research on the MBP as well. There are multiple threads on here that contain posts with photographer's opinions of both the MBA and the MBP. I'd start searching for some of those as those will be the most informed opinions.
