So dropped phone face down on our tile floor. The screen didn’t crack but I now have a colored line on my screen. Will a screen repair that is offered by my insurance fix this or is it a deeper problem?

A front screen repair most likely will not fix the issue. It has to do with the display underneath the glass.

Won't be able to say for certain until a shop looks at it. When you drop the iPhone, the display connector on the logic board can become pseudo soldered.

That is definitely display damage. A connector issue would have more uniform manifestation of lines/distortion/power. If this is an LCD display, I would guess pressure damage from impact. The Taptic Engine is located under location of damage.
