Will a unlocked UK iPhone work with Orange's 3G?

Hi,

I am currently very happy owner of a US iPhone that is unlocked and working on Orange's UK network. I can only access the internet currently when in a WI-FI zone. Will a new 3G phone be able to work via 3G on Oranges network or would I have to move over to O2?

o2's coverage is crap on 3g at the moment. stick to o2 if you want. 3 has th best 3g coverage however their simcard is only 3g compatible not backwards so wont work on current iphone.

yes it will work once it is launched.. however you will have to enter settings..


settings - general - network - edge

you need username, pw, apn.. doubt this will change much at all with introduction of 3g iphone...
