Hi all!

I just have a quick question. I have a new ibook, and I was wondering if anyone knew if Adobe Photoshop 5.0 will work with OS X? How about Photoshop 4.0?

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply! How about version 4.0?

How do you run a program in classic mode. Switcher still getting used to the mac system.

Thanks!

4.0 should also run. To run a program in classic, you pretty much just open the program and it starts up an OS9 environment. Keep in mind, running classic does slow down your computer, because you're essentially running two operating systems simultaneously.

I run Photoshop 5.0 in Tiger with no problems on an almost daily basis. No general system slowdown will be experienced. I know 4.0 ran also, at least as late as 10.3, so you should not have an issue with this version either. Of course you will need Classic (OS 9.2) installed, which I believe Apple stopped doing by default with new Macs a year or so ago. Not sure how you get your hands on a copy.
