I wanna buy Airpods but they’re too costly for a pair of headphones when do you think Apple will drop Airpods’ prices ?

How about never? Apple is extremely reticent to lower its prices, even on old deprecated hardware. I can only think of a handful of instances over the past decade where Apple truly lowered its prices. Instead I actually expect Apple to cook up something like an "Airpods Pro" with ever-so slightly improved features sold for $399, while keeping the Airpods 1 as the "cheaper" option for $159.

Apple's pricing model suggests that they keep older models in production with a lower price points when there is a newer version that is released at about the same initial price point of the previous model.

The only real product Apple reduces the price annually is the iPhone. Accessories like cases, Apple Watch and AirPods are not typically reduced. They are either discontinued or replaced by something newer.

For a pair of “truly wireless” earphones with the features they provide, they are reasonably priced, and even competitively priced with the competition, and selling tremendously at the current price. For that reason you shouldn’t expect the price to drop.

I don’t think some expect the AirPods to drop, they are just ignorant to the fact that Apple doesn’t usually reduce the prices of certain products. But I agree with what you’re saying about AirPods being reasonably priced, because they are with the technology embedded and the sound they produce I find to be adequate, given that They don’t have noise canceling isolation. The AirPods about is about simplicity, and that they deliver very well.

They are still in high demand, they aren't going to drop. Even if they did, what would they drop to, $129 at best? Not a make or break difference.

Airpods are Apple's best product in the last decade, and the demand shows it.
