Hey everyone I have a question i noticed has happened to me. I went to go use my airpods this morning with my iphone 7+. I noticed the charge case dead and I could not connect to my air pods? My question if the charging case is dead will the air pods still work even if they are charged at 100%? Any help would be great thanks!!!@

They work fine here, even if I don't have the case with me. Since they connect via BT directly to the phone, I don't see why the AirPods themselves wouldn't work without the case. That is until they run out of power of course.

It seems like if the case dies while the AirPods are docked, they're unable to tell the they've been removed and keep the BT antennas inactive.

It's odd, but from what I've seen the case will never discharge itself entirely to charge the AirPods, attempting to keep a small portion reserved for itself. Overtime that will lose charge, though.
