That has nothing to do with the phone being locked or unlocked. The Verizon/sprint models were capable of working on all major networks, while the AT&T/T-Mobile models only had GSM capable LTE modems.Correct me if I am wrong but if you previously if you purchased a Verizon phone it works on all carriers except Sprint. If you bought an ATT version then it would not work on Sprint and Verizon. Thats the change I am referring to, this year the ATT unlocked phone will work as the Verizon model and work on ALL carriers except Sprint.

There was. I think the time frame was some time around June of this year. I may be wrong though.Wasn’t there a thread on the front page awhile back saying Verizon was going to start locking their phones to their network? I don’t remember any date given as to when it was planned to take effect just curious if anyone had any information on the subject..
