I’m thinking about buying the space gray magic keyboard and Magic Mouse (I have the silver ones that came with my iMac but really like the look of the space gray ones) but I wouldn’t want to spend the money if a redesigned superior keyboard and mouse are on the way, what do you think?

I HUNGER
Didn't they just redo the keyboards on the lap tops to make them the same as the magic keyboards? I'd imagine that means no change. But who knows.

My fave keyboard is from my MBP late 2013. It's like butter and so much quieter than the magic keyboard. I prefer a little more motion in the keys even though I know you can type faster on the magic keyboards.

Apple has designed their mice for looks the last 22 years, and not for useability, so does it really matter for those? And their current keyboards are really good.

Space Grey long with change the form factor of Keyboard and Mouse. I would love for the keyboard to have a numeric keypad even though there's no chance in hell that Apple will bring it back.

An ignorant comment on my part.

What do you mean? Apple has a full size keyboard with numeric keypad

what would be amazing in my opinion is a full size keyboard with a built in touch screen/touchpad. Maybe the next iMac will come with such a keyboard. Or maybe a full size keyboard with the touch bar in the top like on the MacBooks

I don’t think they would release a redesigned iMac with the same keyboard and mouse

Over here
I personally love the Magic Mouse 2, it is very precise and beautiful at the same time

I do switch from my MX Master 3 to the MM2 when using on macOS. for functionality and overall general use I love it, just hate the design.

I wonder if Apple will finally release a good mouse. They appear to have been slowly pulling back on unnecessary thinness and form-over-function design, so maybe this is the year they finally release a mouse made for a human hand.

I have the Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Mouse 2, the later being the most uncomfortable mouse I’ve ever used. I end up using the trackpad 90% Of the time.

I recently ended up with one of these
slimblade_1024x1024.jpg

Never thought I’d go there since I didn’t like trackballs when they were a thing back in the 80s or 90s. Too long ago, can’t remember exactly when everyone was using them. Except for games, this is the best solution for me. Like it more than any mouse or trackpad. Of course it’s not for laptops, too big and too heavy. As for keyboards... DIY with QMK firmware is the best option, there’s something for everyone.
