Hey,

So I connect my TV to my 21.5" iMac via HDMi, it works fine. I can drag windows like live streams or vids or even iTunes sometimes, to my second display. Life's great.

However, does anyone know if Apple has planned for any improvements to this system in Lion? I couldn't find anything about it , so i figured i'd ask you guys.

Anyone else using external displays? Perhaps for notebooks?

According to what several others have said, in Lion if you switch an application to full screen, the other screen(s) go blank. So the touted fullscreen ability of applications right now would not be very useful for you.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, but will they keep the extended desktop like it is now , or are there any plans to change that a bit like having 2 desktops, instead of one desktop which is simply extended.

If that makes any sense. lol

Alright. I hope there are going to be no cooling issues with that, lol.

Running with the display closed is currently possible and a designed feature. No cooling issues. The only difference is that, right now, to go from 2 screens to 1 external and laptop closed, the laptop will go to sleep momentarily.

Thanks for the info man , Im looking to write an article about this for my tech blog.
