will app data lose when jalibreaking?

Hi, I am using a 2.1 iphone now and I am considering to jailbreak it.
I really wanna know if jailbreaking it will lose any saved data on my phone like saved games data, coz you know I took ages to unlock all the super monkey ball stages and i dont wanna lose them.

I'm pretty sure you will because when you load your own firmware onto the phone you have to erase it completely.
