will apple care replace this iPhone 2g

my dad has a 2g aluminum iPhone that gets really hot when he is talking or browsing the web. will apple care fix this or give him a new phone? we have a genius bar appointment later today but i don't want to go if they will be no help at all.

I think they'll only replace if it's actually a really big deal... I think iPhones all just get hot anyways.

I might be wrong though... you might want to go to your local genius bar or call up AppleCare just to check.

never mind. my dad is crazy. he says it fixed itself when he put music on it lol. i just canceled the appointment.
