My neighbor found an ipod outside the church.

Would apple contact the owner if I provided them a serial number?

I would have thought it would be very unlikely. As easy as it would be, I don't think it is their policy.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure they don't.

Seems god wanted your friend to have an iPod touch. Apple will not contact the owner due to privacy issues.

If you can access it to get serial number, isn't there email set up to try and contact the owner?

well I never gave up on this.

The email address is not visible on the device.
However I tried to sync the device to my itunes and the pop up window came up to erase and sync or transfer purchases. Selecting transfer the device tries to contact itunes and displaying the email of the owner.

Waiting to see if the owner replies to my email
