I bought a 2nd hand (out of warranty) 3G iPhone, I had jail broken and unlocked it, now the battery is near the end of its life and I would like to send it to Apple to replace the battery. Does anyone knows if Apple will refuse to replace the battery of a hacked iPhone even if I am willing to pay ??

If I restore the 3G, I would not be able to go to the home page as I do not have an authorized SIM card and it would prevent the staff in an Apple store to read the serial # of this phone and ensure that it is not faulty before they accept the phone for battery replacement.
