Only after a day of having the 3g iphone it's giving me the error "No Sim Card Installed!". I searched around and people say it's most likely a hardware problem if it isn't the SIM Card acting up and to take it to the apple store.

In this case since it's still under warranty would they replace my iphone [considering the SIM isn't the prob] with a new one? If so would I have to wait a really long time for a new stock?

or would they send it in and have me wait for a refurbished phone?

They should have 3G replacements for you, otherwise you can return it. Should take around 30 mins in a Apple Store to get it fixed.

If you bought it from the apple store then they should replace it with a new one, you just have to make an appointment at the genious bar and they have their own stock for replacements. If you got it from AT&T you also need to go to apple I believe but they will usually have to order on that would normally be refurbished but I was told for now they are new phones just in a 3rd party box.
