will apple let me exchange my MBP CD to C2D?

I got my CD about a month and a half ago. The optical drive has some problem when i load a disk...makes some crazy noises while spinning the disc. I was gonna get it repaired just around the same time they released the C2D. I was wondering if apple will let me exchange it. Im pretty happy with my MBP but a change to C2D with sure be welcome. Any thoughts?

I doubt it, it doesn't sound like something that would warrant the entire system needing a replacement, so I don't think they're going to let you just swap it out for a C2D MBP.

Nope, not a chance of a swap. they'll look at it and fix it though.

And besides, do you honestly think they owe it you to give you a replacement system for no reason?
