Couldn't find the Answer to the question 'If apple pencil 1 work with Ipad air 5?' .

My wife is interested in the Ipad Air 5 as it has a bigger screen and more RAM than her current Ipad 6th gen because sometimes she uses multiple screens at the same time. Apple pencil use is a must. However, wanted to check if it is backward compatible with Apple Pencil 1 which she currently uses.

Nope sadly not, you will need to get an updated Apple Pencil.

These are the devices that support the first gen Apple Pencil:

In fact, it is not supported, but…

I’ve seen videos where it is possible using a free app called light blue, a Lightning to USB-C cable, the Pencil Lightning adapter that comes in the box, and the older iPad just to unpair the Pencil

Haven’t tried it by myself, but you could try it if you have this and someone can lend you a new iPad

I’m also an iPad 6 owner btw
