iPod Will Apple release anything to compete with Zune Pass 9/9/09?

I am curious to see if Apple will release anything to compete with Zune Pass on 9/9/09. The Zune HD looks awesome (and I have been hardcore Apple for a few years now with numerous iPods and 2 iPhones). But I many jump ship and get the Zune HD with Zune Pass if nothing compelling comes out on 9/9/09.

Any thoughts? Just curious.

Don't count on it. Steve Jobs has reiterated many times that their findings say most customers prefer to own music instead of rent it. That could obviously change at any time, but I'd count more on seeing an Apple TV that isn't severely limited and indestructible iPods before that.
