Will apple sell me a current stock MBP 2.0 with 256vram for the $1999 now that they have been speed bumped to 2.16? If so I might go buy one today.

I doubt it if you want a new one its not priceline. They will sell you a refurbished one if you like.

good luck but you never know call them , but since they knew the change was happening they probably got rid of the supply of the old one.

Apple probably wont. You might have better luck with a third-party reseller who might have the 2.0/256 models in stock. Maybe Amazon or one of the catalog resellers (MacWarehouse, MacConnection, etc.) or a local independent authorized reseller.
