I recently bought my first iPhone (a 6S Plus from Walmart). I also own a few iPads plus an old iPod Touch with lots of music on it. At the time I bought the iPads, I set them up under a different account than the iPod Touch. (I had misplaced the iPod Touch at that time, so I "started from scratch" with the iPads.) I now have a bunch of apps on the iPads that I also want to use on the iPhone, so I set the iPhone up to be under the same account as the iPads. So now the upshot is that the iPhone and iPads (with my important apps) are on a different account than the old iPod Touch (which has the music). But they all belong to me.

As a result, I want to transfer the music library on my Ipod Touch to my iPhone - but I don't know how to do it (and never really got the hang of using iTunes). FWIW - A good percentage of the music on the iPod Touch was NOT bought from iTunes - it's mostly music ripped from my CD collection.

So - to my question (finally) - Can I have someone at the Apple Store do this for me? Will they take on this request?

Thanks.

I doubt that they would be willing to do that for you. Actually, the process is not that hard with the right software: Imazing 2 Check around for a discount as iMazing 2 is frequently discounted and offered in special bundles. The MacWorld Magazine store may still have it on special. Check there first.

Thanks for the tip about iMazing 2.

I installed the demo to try it. The demo supposedly is able to transfer up to 50 songs - but I can't get it to work.

It recognizes both the old iPod and the new iPhone. (So far, so good!) I'm able to copy/export songs from the iPod to a folder on my PC. (Great!) But when I then try importing those songs onto the iPhone, it doesn't work (ie - nothing gets transferred) :(

I suspect that the problem stems from the fact that a lot of my iPod library weren't iTunes purchases. Could that be the problem? Or is it something else?

Any thoughts? (I'm halfway there, but stuck!)

It shouldn't matter where the songs were purchased from, iMazing will do the transfer. Must be something else because it certainly works.

OK - Got it sorted out. Transferring to/from a Folder on PC worked, but only if iPod and/or iPhone are connected to PC one at a time.

Thanks!
