I was thinking that the normal :apple:Watch would be the cheapest, but now I heard that the :apple:Watch sport would be the cheapest. What do you guys think? Will it be the cheapest ,starting at $349, or will it be the midrange option?
And also, do you think we'll be able to use bands from the Apple Watch with the Apple Watch Sport?
Thanks,
JerTheGeek.

:apple: Watch Sport will be the cheapest.
:apple: Watch is the Standard Model
:apple: Edition is the Luxury Model

I think all bands can be interchanged in any model

Sport uses the cheapest materials. Conveniently, its the lightest weight =) makes that decision easy if I was going to get one.

Yes, bands are interchangeable, they demonstrated that during keynote.

The bands are interchangeable, but they're made to go with certain watches. The stainless steel watch is most versatile because it works with all of the leather, metal, and sport bands. That Sport watch only works with the sport straps because the case is aluminum. The Edition has it's own selection of leather and sport bands with gold accents.

Ah ok thanks, that makes sense. I really like that bright blue sport band! I'll be picking up the Apple Watch Sport with a blue sport band.

Also, I'm sure 3rd party accessory maker will go bananas selling bands like crazy.

In all ranges I guess, from Burberry to Griffin..

If you ask me i think that the cheapest watch will be stainless steel one because steel isn't expensive as aluminum because if you want to produce aluminum you need a lot of energy because of electrolysis and high temperatures to melt compound which is then used for electrolysis + sport edition has stronger display and new technique was needed to be developed :) my opinion :)

Assuming Apple has patented their mechanism for removing bands.

If they have, then I'm guessing they'll be more than happy to license them and sell them through the Apple store. Let other companies absorb the costs and still get 5-40% of the retail price.

Aluminium is the cheapest metal. So cheap they make drink cans out of it. Plus sapphire more expensive than glass.

Just look at the detail between the two, and it's clwar the stainless steal is more expensive. The back has more details, and the crown has some sort of decoration where the aluminum one is blank.

It has been suggested and sounds plausible that on the 2 premium models (maybe the Sport too) the Crown may be replaceable with an optional color Crown.
