Looks like apple is letting customers who use their apple upgrade plan and or apple credit card allowed to pre register "Get ready" their order on the website for a very easy couple clicks on pre order morning.

If this holds true, I believe that if you want to buy the phone outright (full payment) or through a carrier could make you fall back a week or 2 out on when you'll get your phone.

Last two pre orders I did (iPhone 6 and iPhone X) I used ATT website and got the phone on launch day both times... by the looks of it I may have to try ATT website again because I don't think ill be able to beat the people who just have to press a button and order their phone tomorrow morning.

If im wrong or missing something please let me know! Is this the first time apple is using this "Get Ready" method?

I honestly don't think its that serious and if you're able to get the order in for the first few minutes im sure you will be fine. If you are going for blue I probably would be a little more worried because I feel those dates will be the first to slip.

Even though I'm pre-registered, and plan on waking up and logging on prior to preorder open, I'm concerned about being able to get the phone I want. If it slips a bit, that's fine. They won't reach "sell-out", though, correct?

Save your preferences to your favorites and that should be just about as quick. That's what many of us do every year to get launch day arrival.
Yep.

The pre approval is similar to the favorites, with one less step.

No, it's not the first time, they've had this for the last couple of years, at least...allowing you to get everything ready for pre-order, including credit approvals, selecting the configuration you want, etc, so that pre-order is really just the click of a button.

Per the post above, save it as your favorite. Go thru all the steps of buying the phone choosing pay in full, then click on the heart at the top to save it as favorite.
Then using the app, go to the ‘for you’ and scroll down to favorites and it’s as fast as preapproval.

Right, it'll never "sell out". The dates will just keep getting pushed back, but you'll always be able to place an order.

Thanks for the feedback! Ive been 2/2 on ATT website I may stick there or try Apple first and have ATT all lined up to go. I was going to do PRO blue but wish it was the 12 blue so ill be going graphite. With my carbon fiber case from Evutec I think it will look good with graphite.

I'm planning on buying the 12 Pro outright at 7am

If I get pushed back that will be crazy considering I'm planning to do it at exactly 7am lol
