I am looking to buy a very basic, no-frills, HTPC for my parents living room.

My parents would only download 1280x720 video; output to HDTV via DVI; watching streaming HD video content (often through Flash players).

My parents currently have a laptop (Sony Vaio @1.8Ghz, GeForce 9300) hooked up to the TV, which can handle each of these use requirements. But this setup is inconvenient as they unhappily detach and re-attach the laptop every day so they can also use their laptop for other normal purposes.

Question:

Will the base-level Mac Mini (i.e., 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo w/ 1GB RAM) handle HD Flash, such as YouTube HD and Hulu HD? And, would it be able to play 1280x720 video files outputting to HDTV via DVI?

My 1.66GHz mini handles all of the HD sites and HD videos. It will play those video files.
