Just curious, do you guys think phones that currently run Windows Phone 8.1 will be upgradable to the new OS? Is there even any talk about the next mobile OS from Microsoft? I haven't heard anything.

The 520 is nearing EOL status, if it hasn't already. The 635 has taken its spot at the low end.

The 520 is still available, and the 635 is twice the price. Although still very cheap at $99. But as of now the 520 is still the lowest end model. So if the phone is still in production at this moment and Windows Phone 10 comes out in 2015, it would suck to not have the update available on a relatively new phone.

wp learned to upgrade their phones
Windows is making good moves for price oriented consumers

I was actually able to return the Lumia 520 for $50 store credit and purchased a Lumia 635 for $80, so I only had to pay an extra $30 to upgrade to a better Nokia which I know will have no problem running Windows Phone 10 with the significantly more powerful processor. The bigger screen is a nice perk too. I agree that Microsoft is doing a great job catering to the budget phone market.

My ATT 520 probably won't get it. If it does it'll take a few months like it did with 8.1. Not a huge deal. I'll just buy whatever is the new low end lumia when WP 10 launches. I'm sure there will be a few new ones by then. Besides, the 520 will be over 2 years old by then.
