Hello,

As I am aware, Dead Island just came out and it sounds like a really great game, however, all I have here is a late 2010 MBP 13'', and I currently have no option / funding to upgrade...

So, I would like to ask, does anyone here tried running Dead Island on a MBP 13''? And is yes, how well does it run?

Thanks.

PS: Almost forgot, I am currently on bootcamp, Win7x32

specs:
Intel Core2Duo P8600 2.4GHz
GeForce320M 256Mb
Free RAM: 2.7Gb, thought I have 4 installed.

I haven't tried it but performance wise you should be okay to go. The 320m performs about the same as the 8600 which is listed as the min. required card. The only thing that could be an issue is if it, like some other newer games, wont even boot up if it detects that you don't meet the required vram.

32 bit operating system can only see 3GB of Ram

256mb reserved for your GPU

2.7Gb remain

Simples.......

If I buy it, it will be for Xbox.

^^ wow, i'm surprised at how low the recommended specs are, It'll be interesting to see if they are realistic or a pipe dream.

It's probably not a pipe dream. The game isn't attractive at all graphically. It's extremely consolized from what I've heard as well.

I tried running it under Parallels 6 and then 7 with a iMac (Summer 2010) with no success. Just a black screen but with sound. I am using Windows XP-32 bit.

I can run a ton of other games with no problems. Making a dedicated Bootcamp partition for this game.
