Will Dragon Age: Origins run on my computer?

Hm that's tricky. Usually it's the GPU that is the real issue and not the CPU - but I do know sometimes there are games that flat won't let you install on particular CPUs, and it would be bad to spend money on the game prepared to put up with poor graphics only to find you couldn't even install the thing.
This doesn't really help that question, but I can say two things, firstly, although DAO is a "pretty" game, it can work ok on a pretty slow machine. I have run it on Windows Vista (or XP, I forget now) under Parallels 5. Obviously I expected performance to be shocking but actually it ran ooooookay. Now I would never choose to play it that way if I did have a choice. But it was playable. (This was on a C2D 3.6 Ghz iMac.) Secondly, DAO for all it's undoubted flaws (and yes it does have flaws) is an amazing RPG - if you like story-heavy RPGs, you really must play it.
I dunno. Maybe you should wait till you can upgrade your iMac. That's not what you want to hear is it. Hopefully someone here has actually installed it on your machine and can give you more clear advice.

Well, right now you can get the Mac version of Dragon Age for $15 at gamersgate.com or the deluxe version for $20. Not exactly a demo, but I think that's a steal for games that were $50 and $60 when they came out in December. Also, the game now supports some DLC, which it didn't before...
