Installing a fresh OSX 10.7.4 on a new HD. I've set up and entered in my AppleID etc but I'm worried that because it's all blank on my HD it will erase my iCloud data on my other iDevices and other Mac? The iCloud intro at the beginning said that if I check the box it will send my Mac's data to the cloud. This would mean zero data. I have also opened Safari on my new HD and none of the iCloud bookmarks or anything are there. Do I need to wait or do something else?

Thanks

The iCloud servers take precedence. So if you have data on iCloud and fire up a new/blank machine (either OS X or iOS) all the iCloud data will be pushed down to the new device, not the reverse.

That's what I thought but my new HD did not receive all the data even though my AppleID is entered in.

Ah...What you have to do is when you're in the iCloud pref pane un-click and click the check boxes a few times to get it going. You'll be asked if you want xxx merged with iCloud etc and boom there it goes. All synced now.

Glad it worked out.
