Steve Jobs will tell you so, but what do you think? Within 3 years, are you predicting alot of flash content we have now to be HTML5? Or do you think flash will remain as it is, dominant in web video/game content?

Do you think it will it replace flash in the future?

HTML5 cannot "die" as far as HTML is the beating heart of the whole www.
The question is whether it's going to kill Flash or not. The answer is that it's entirely up to Adobe: the ball is in their court to make Flash mobile-friendly. People like to single out Apple as the evil big company who just likes to bully the poor little Adobe riding hood; but in actual facts, Flash as it exists is such a hog that its implementation is inconvenient on any mobile device for the sake of battery life (and possibly, mental sanity of the users).

Just the adverts on this page is making me use 1.2% of my processor so hopefully HTML5 will be the way forward to save on power usage, especially on mobile devices.

I think HTML5, will replace flash for playing video as its much faster to buffer and uses less CPU.

By 2015, I think, most websites that are completely run on flash would have been converted by HTML5.

But websites like this:
http://www.soft.se/#index
http://www.theeggrepublic.com/
http://www.embraceyourelement.com/

will take so long to "convert" (re-code) to HMTL5 because of all the different elements, that the developer wouldn't even bother.

And, on some of the flash websites above, you need a mouse for it to work properly - which the iPad doesn't have and even when these websites are in HTML5 you will still need a mouse.

Some HTML5 websites don't even work on the iPad, so Apple needs to fix it.

SO...

In the future:

Video - mostly all HTML5
Games - Some flash, some HTML
Some flash based websites recoded to HTML5
