I want to do a fresh install of iOS 14 on my iPhone.
Of course, I will start out with a fresh install of 13.5.1 on my device and then install the dev profile to 14.
Why a fresh install? A former jailbreak has screwed up a lot of things on my phone including several accounts associated with apps and general software update no longer working.
Here is the problem...
I am not restoring the phone from an iCloud backup. This is a fresh install.
I know I will lose my photos and contacts. I know I will lose all my apps (but they can be redownloaded)
The issue is my photos and contacts...
If they exist on my Macbook Pro which is associated with my iCloud account then my photos and contacts will be ported over to a freshly installed iPhone as long as I log into that account. Correct?
In other words, no iCloud backup restore. However, the photos and contacts will restore because they exist in the cloud associated with Macbook Pro?
Please confirm this. Thanks so much!
