same connector, but completely different software. i'm not counting on it working, but who knows.
 
At the very least, the line out will work and the iPhone will play music through them. But whether their remotes will control it, only time will tell.
 
In the USA Today interview I believe when he put the iPhone on his iPod stereo it asked him if he wanted to place the phone on airplane mode (to prevent interference with the speakers) and it worked fine.

I am nervous too because I just bought a $50 Altec Lansing iPod speaker things on sale. I hope they work. But I know the iHome is around $130.
