While all the features are "cool and all", I'm unlikely to use most of them.

The one feature that would be immensely useful and I can't believe it's not already there being able to set a ringtone for any caller NOT in my address book.

Sure, I can assign custom ringtones to each of my 200 or so callers (if there are 200 separate ringtones and I can remember them all and I have the HOURS to do it), but looking at it from the other direction, why not just let me "know" when the phone rings that this is a caller not in my address book? That's a quick one step setup, if it existed.

That one feature would make me upgrade. If I needed a new iPhone to get that feature, I would probably go for it. Otherwise, I'll stick with my 5s.

The only way you could do this is to assign a different ring tone—could be the same one—to everyone in your address book. Then when your phone rings with your standard ringtone you'd know it wasn't anyone in your book. Bit of a hassle if you have a lot of contacts. Great feature if they ever add it.

Thanks. Yeah, with 300 or so folks in my address book, I wouldn't be able to remember which single ringtone didn't apply to any of the 300 separate ringtones in there.

It's baffling why this simple feature doesn't exist ... since the phone has to scan your contacts anyway to see which ringtone to use.

So much about what Apple is doing these days on the Mac/IOS doesn't do much for me. I'll just stick with ios 9.

Appreciate your reply.

One of the new features is "announce calls" If I get a call from someone in my contact list, it will announce the person's name during the ringing. This could meet your wish.

Didn't know that was possible with stock iOS. Had it on my Windows phone about 5 years ago, nice of apple to catch up with stuff.
