I wonder if iOS will ever follow a continuos update model like windows 10. I've found windows to be massively stable update after update since windows 10 was released.

I've found iOS to be buggy for 3-4 months every year because every time a new version is released, there are bugs. Some of these are simple graphical artifacts and stutters but this massively affects the impression and day to day usage of the iPhone and iPad. I find this a bit bad on such a premium product range.

If iOS followed a more continuos update schedule, maybe this could be avoided?

Windows 10 is no more continuous than iOS or macOS - the main difference is that it keeps the same version number and that’s all.

Windows 10 has two medium scale updates yearly, while iOS has 1 big update a year and several smaller ones. Not much difference in practice.

Heck, autumn 2016 update killed start menu for me!

Yep. 1511 update broke ALL shortcuts. It was a very common issue and was fixed in a cumulative update. Unfortunately, my windows 10 also had broken windows update. So I had to get the update manually from their update catalog.
