will ipad->appletv airplay be accessible to devs?

The new $99 appletv looks a little intriguing device and I really liked the ability to wirelessly stream content from your ipad/iphone, but I was wondering if non-apple apps will be able to stream video wirelessly to the appletv as well...mostly airvideo. Any developers find out yet?

I am hoping for this as well. My thoughts were that this could be used in the future to send things like the Pandora interface to the Apple TV. It could get around the lack of an app system on the new Apple TV.
