Will iPad be available at Best Buy on April 3rd?

I'm going to buy the iPad from BB. Will it be available on the 3rd there?

Based on what I've been told from two different stores, and my nephew working at a local BB. No.

They will sell them, but not for a week or two after launch. Then again what do they know. :)

Personally, I think Apple is keeping the April 3rd sales all at the Apple stores to create larger crowds for the media to see. If all the BB's had iPads on launch day it's very likely the Apple stores would lose a big chunk of the people standing in line knowing they could choose from several BB's.

I don't think it will be at BB a launch either, but for a different reason. I don't think Apple will initially have the stock for Apple stores, Apple.com orders, and to supply Best Buy or any other retailer. I don't think they will sell out, but they'll be close enough to where supplying other retailers would cause an inventory nightmare.

Yeah, true.

Oh well, at least I'll have a bit more time to see what the apps are like and some user reviews rather than $$$ reviews

Was thinking the same thing. I would at least expect something to show up in this coming Sunday's ad. If not, then I don't think its happening.

There was a report yesterday? or maybe this past weekend that the higher profile tech columnists would be receiving an iPad to review possibly as early as tomorrow. (Thursday March 25th) If this is the case we could see some review from David Pogue, Walt Mossburg and a few others early next week.

As stated above, if BB happens to get some on launch day, I think this upcoming Sundays ad will have some sort of indication that they would have them. Either way were only a few days out from answering all sorts of questions. :)

You know those guys won't even dare to leave a negative review, right? Else the next time Apple sends out a new product for early review, they won't send it to that particular reviewer to get another negative (and they WANT an early review, to boost website traffic by quite a bit). This is how these things work.

Early reviews don't mean jack.

Actually, those guys are generally pretty realistic in their reviews. If you've read their past reviews of Apple products, they don't sugar coat them.
 
My phone call with BB Customer Service:

BBCS: How can I help you?
Me: Will your stores carry the iPad on April 3rd?
BBCS: You mean the iPod? Yes, we have them in stores now.
Me: No, the iPAD.
BBCS: I don't know what that is.
Me: Can you go and ask your supervisor if your stores will be carrying the iPAD on April 3rd.
BBCS: ok, will you please hold?
Me: Sure.

BBCS: OH! The iPad! I've never seen that before...but my supervisor said we will not be carrying that item. It can only be pre-ordered from Apple.
