They haven't mentioned Voice Control, therefore it's not included.
Does the iPad have a microphone? I don't recall seeing that in the Apple specs.
Maybe its a release day surprise feature
Its customary in sales to give a few extras when the customer makes a purchase
Makes the customer feel they received more than what they paid for
Actually no it's not, Apple are trying to sell a product - they will advertise every feature they can to get people to buy it. The iPad will likely not have Voice Control, nothing can be certain but it makes sense. That's a bad argument, just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't neccessarily mean its not included. It could be that they just didn't feel like it was a feature they wanted to emphasize. Also, Apple sometimes adds things at the last minute that were not announced intially.
But if the iPad doesn't have Voice Control, the question becomes why? As another poster pointed out, they already have it on the 3rd gen iPod touch, so why take it out?

Maybe because "It just didn't look good full screen" like the weather and stock apps they left out...![]()
I don't see why they wouldn't tell people if it was voice controlled. that's a pretty good feature that people would love. I would market it like crazy!
I don't know, but it just seems weird that they would promote voice control so highly on the 3GS and not even one feature on the iPad for it. All they would have to do is copy the content from the iPhone page to the iPad page. Just doesn't seem like Apple to leave it out.
"When you want to play a song, tap it. The Now Playing screen appears, displaying the album art for the song you’re playing. Tap to flip the album over and view the track list. Use your finger to pause, shuffle, change the track, and adjust the volume. Or, if you prefer some private listening, connect wired or Bluetooth wireless headphones, and it’s just you, your favorite tunes, and fantastic sound."
Why wouldn't they say, you can also start music with Voice Control?
I'm beginning to think it won't be in the iPad.
Heh. I'm still waiting to hear what happened to the clock app, I use that a lot! But still, why should it matter what it looks like, isn't the point of Voice Control you don't have to look at it????
