iPad mini Will ipad mini 2 fit in a ipad mini case?

Anyone know the answer to this? I read the at mini 2 would be slightly thicker I believe. But, I'm not sure if this was a rumor.
 
The Retina is .3mm thicker.
In a flexible case like leather or PU case that will hardly make a difference.
In a hard case it might.
