Pardon my ignorance of electrics and poor math - LOL!

The specs on this old iPod charger are 12 volts and 1.0 amps. I thought -

watts = amps * volts

If this is so, then this charger is a 12 watt charger - right? If so, won't it work to charge the iPad since the official iPad charger is a 10 watt charger.

I use an old a1205 and it works perfect i think its close to the same charger.

I am getting conflicting info now. Apple says the iPod charger is 12 v and other places I search on Google say 5 v.

It does seem that the iPhone adapter would work since it is 12 v and 1.0 a.

i talked to one of a apple guys about this issue. he told me it might work,
but not recomended to use any ipod charger to charge ipad. just use
the one comes with the ipad. since the ipod charger is 5v. on the other
hand, the ipad charger is 12v.
