Will iTunes restore make my 1.0.2 phone a 1.1.1?

I'm having trouble with my iPhone. This is the 2nd one I've purchased and I'm trying to unlock them both with iphonesimfree.com. The first one unlocked flawlessly, but on the 2nd one, it seems to be unlocked, but I can't get a wi-fi connection - it's greyed out.

I'm considering restoring it using iTunes but the warning message in iTunes says it will erase the iPhone and return it to it's factory settings and install the latest software. If I do this restore, will it bring it back to a clean 1.0.2 or 1.1.1?

As an alternative, should I re-install simfree.app? I've tried erasing the settings on the phone but an icon just spins endlessly....so I'm stuck.

You can download the firmware image for 1.0.2 and restore from that (it's a matter of alt-clicking the 'Restore' button and browsing to it), but I'm on my way out the door so I can't hunt down the link for you, sorry. Have a quick look around the forums, or alternatively someone else will post it before too long!

Bruce I posted the answer in your other thread, in the future you should probably try and not make multiple threads for the same issue, it's called bumping, no harm just an FYI.
