Short of it is I am stuck with a iPhone 3G for 3 more months till I can get hold of a 4S (I don't think it makes sense to buy a 4, then a 4S in 3 months)

I have an iPad and iMac that I want to update to iOS5 and Lion respectively.

Obviously the 3G won't run iOS5 and hence is iCloud incompatible.

I need to have the two iOS devices and the iMac to continue to sync the contacts and calendars as they do now with MobleMe.

I want to be sure that if I install iOS5 and Lion, they will still sync with mobile me (and hence the phone) till I get the 4S.

What are peoples experiences?

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I do not think you can do that. Once you convert to iCloud I don't think you would get anything new on MM. When I converted others could still set MM calendar but I did not test if they could see new entries.
