I can't find any info regarding 2S, people says 3 is having problems, logi options still running under rosetta and daemon is having troubles. Is there any MX Master 2S users? Is your setup working fine? What did you do in the setups?
I think just with an older version of software, though. Right?Logitech announced they are stopping support for Big Sur soon, so think twice about which brand you chose.
could you provide a source for this information? I would like to read it and see if they wrote anything more about when/whyLogitech announced they are stopping support for Big Sur soon, so think twice about which brand you chose.
Why?Logitech announced they are stopping support for Big Sur soon, so think twice about which brand you chose.
So they will trash the support for all Mac users?I doubt it.
It wouldn't surprise me either. It wouldn’t surprise me.
Somehow I can't see Logitech giving up on Big Sur Intel Macs/M1 Mac users. I suppose they could sunset on the Intel Macs over time. But, would they want to lose sales to M1 Mac users? Why?
I’m guessing they will release a m1 native app instead?
They have been very fickle over the years.I suppose they could sunset on the Intel Macs over time. But, would they want to lose sales to M1 Mac users?
I did uninstall Logitech option today and I did replace it with steer mouse.MX Anywhere 3 here, but I'm not using Logitech Options, I avoid installing x86 drivers, this might kill the battery runtime and cause other weird issues.
See this threadI did uninstall Logitech option today and I did replace it with steer mouse.
Do you know how I can make sure that the drivers are gone?
Logitech Control Center (LCC) and disabling and enabling macOS 11 (Big Sur) System Integrity Protection
Logitech Control Center (LCC) is not compatible with macOS 11 (Big Sur) due to a new Apple policy that requires significant changes to how our software works.
Certain LCC devices will be supported in an upcoming Logitech Options release, while others will not. You can find more information in regards to this below:
(404 LINKS REMOVED)
As some users may have discovered, it is possible to disable core macOS 11 (Big Sur) security features, specifically System Integrity Protection (SIP), to allow for LCC to run.
Logitech advises strongly against this, as the macOS System Integrity Protection (SIP) protects the entire system by preventing the execution of unauthorized code and leaves your computer vulnerable to malicious code.

I’ll just re-install the Mac when I have replaced all intel software.See this thread
I have an old Logitech M510 mouse, and when I got my M1 mini, the mouse software (LCC) no longer worked. The mouse works, but you can't program the buttons. The weird thing is, some M510's are still supported. I don't think my next mouse will be a Logitech.
From Logitech:
They have been very fickle over the years.
Since they said they'll be fully compatible, and since none of the M1 (or greater) Macs run anything less than Big Sur, Big Sur and beyond must therefore be supported. With the new Apple release of their Apple Silicon-based computers, LCC will not be compatible with these new systems. Your LCC-supported device should have basic functionality but customization in LCC won’t be possible. All of our Logitech Options-supported devices will be fully compatible. (emphasis added)
